Lauren Olsen grew up in Palos Verdes and attended Peninsula High School. She became a Christian at 16 years old and believes God is powerfully working in, around, and through each one of us. During college, she studied abroad in Singapore, and also led Bible study for her sorority for several years. She graduated from USC with a degree in business—specifically international finance and marketing. While She worked for Deloitte for 12 years: strategy and operations consulting for financial services, healthcare clients, strategic financial analysis projects for the CFO, and helped launch and operate a leadership development program for young professionals. She also enjoyed leading Bible studies for high school girls and serving as a Sunday school teacher. The Olsen family has been attending Ascension Lutheran since 2021. Lauren has been active in the Joy Sisters Bible study and as a Sunday school teacher here at Ascension. Lauren currently
loves supporting the learning and development of her two wonderful children, Charlotte and Wesley. She invests in her 10+ year marriage to Tommy, manages their home, plans their social life, tends to their garden and chickens, and volunteers at the kids' schools.
