Mission Basket

In addition to our regular offerings, we collect donations each Sunday to support local and international organizations. In 2025, we collected and gave away over $27,000! Below are a few of the causes we support on an ongoing basis through the Mission Basket. We also give to other organizations for special purposes (such as helping another church in an emergency situation) and hold collection drives to gather specific items for a particular cause or need.

Tangible Serving

Throughout the year, Ascension also gives back to our community with these more hands-on service projects:

  • Delivering food to Harbor Interfaith Services
  • Build Days with Habitat for Humanity
  • Assembling and distributing Manna Bags to those in need
  • Drives (food, shoes, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
  • Collecting and assembling gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child
  • Blood Drives with the Red Cross
