Amie was introduced to serving in the church as a teenager when she was asked to teach a Vacation Bible School class for Kindergarten students. Little did she know that week would change the trajectory of her entire life.
For most of the fourteen years she worked in real estate finance, she continued to work and/or volunteer in the church. Over the years, she has taught classes for children, teens, and adults, has served as a board member, and even created an entire VBS program on more than one occasion -- one of life's beautiful, full-circle moments. However, she best enjoys her current work performing administrative duties, supporting staff and volunteers, and facilitating ministry opportunities.
Amie recently returned to college, receiving her BA in Sociology with a minor in Anthropology, and is currently working toward a Master's in Nonprofit Leadership and Management at the University of Southern California. Her focus has been on collaboration between religious and community organizations.
Amie is a Los Angeles native but has lived most of her life in Torrance. She has been married for 24 years and has two adult sons.
