Ascension's student ministry is a welcoming and Christ-centered community for students in 6th through 12th grade. We gather weekly to build friendships, grow in faith, and create a space where students feel known, valued, and supported.
We meet on Tuesday nights, with dinner (free for the whole family!!) starting at 5:45pm. After dinner, we play a group game, pray, then break into high school and middle school groups for age-appropriate lessons and discussion, wrapping up around 7:45pm. Each week is intentionally designed to help students connect relationally and grow spiritually in an engaging and meaningful way.
Throughout each month, we also host a variety of fun events and gatherings to deepen friendships and strengthen community. For the safety and protection of our students, we do not publicly list event details online. For more information about upcoming events or to be added to the newsletter, please contact Amy Harnetiaux HERE.
Our Purpose
Our heart is to cultivate a generation of students who:
- Know Jesus personally
- Build strong, Christ-centered friendships
- Feel deeply connected to the life of the church
- Are supported and uplifted by adults who care
We Believe
Student ministry is not separate from the church; it is an essential part of it. Our goal is to bridge the gap between youth group and Sunday worship by helping students grow in their spiritual habits and integrate into the broader church family.
We are passionate about creating an authentic community, one where students can ask honest questions, grow in confidence, and develop a lasting faith rooted in Jesus.
