I was born in Vienna, Austria, and grew up in the state of Washington as the middle child in a family of 7 children. I lived in Seattle through the seventh grade, then moved to a small wheat farming community in eastern Washington called Ritzville, which is where I graduated from High School. I attended college at the University of Idaho, where I received a bachelor’s degree in business. After moving to California and working at Pacific Bell designing cable systems for 9 years, I decided to change my career. I returned to college and received a master’s degree in landscape architecture at Cal Poly Pomona. After graduation I worked at Universal Studios on the Universal Studios Japan project, which is how I met my husband, Paul. I am currently working at a small landscape architecture firm, and I live in Long Beach. I was raised as a Lutheran and have always gone to the Lutheran church. I have been attending Ascension Lutheran Church since 1981. What I love most about Ascension is the warm and caring people, which is the reason I became a member.
